I'm a photographer, I'm a poet ...

Luis is the Antichaos

I met Luis once in my travels. He was a photographer and adventurer.

When I travel I get to look at myself from a distance. I get to stand away from myself. I get to look at others and wonder at the differences.

Luis is the antichaos.

Simple, dark, well pressed clothes.

Colour coded order, and all that might be random has been carefully placed that way.

At any time a thing could be found with ease.

Or

Crumpled, multicoloured, and often displaced.

Everything is everywhere.

At any time a thing could be found with luck and persistance.

A full life filled with fractions and disorder, but sometimes the chaos gets too much.

Should I colour code my life?

Just a  question.

Hugs

Johannes

Interesting... I did some landscape design papers and in one there were a lot of readings. One discussed that some people have a far higher tolerance for "variance in their environment", in particular people who are both very creative and very intelligent. The reading warned that these people make great designers, but they don't have the need to simplify their surroundings that other people do, and indeed "normal" people may find their environments confusing or stressful (and tidy them, he he)...

Read into that what you will. I like to think clutter is part of my own decorating style...

Excellent comment from the other Meg. My feeling about travel is that people who place a lot of value around certainty ... and the sense of significance they enjoy in their own environment ... either don't like travel or practice a peculiarly restrictive form of it, where everything is planned and nothing left to serendipity. If you know the Red Fort is going to be the best thing in Agra, why bother going? But the most control-freak travellers I know are amongst the brightest people I know, so maybe you just know people by how they travel. And avoid the ones who do it differently. In fact avoid everybody. Except your wife.
