I'm a photographer, I'm a poet ...

Four weeks more or less.

With four weeks to go, and the nesting plan firmly underway, we will still never be completely ready for the arrival of Spider (not her real name.)
Suddenly after eight months of pregnancy we are on the doorstep of phase 2 .... the birth and consequences thereof.
Holy crap! (Not a religious aspersion!)
We have a room ... somehow it went from duck blue to beige (it was supposed to be white ... don't know what happened there.)
We have a room for the crying, vomiting, poohing machine that we will love vigorously.
Well the room is actually for all of the wonderful things that our generous friends and neighbours have given us. Its a weird phenomenon the overwhelming generosity of the people around you when they hear there is a family in the making.

Unederlying all of this is the frequent assertions that 1 it is not a piece of cake.
2 anyone who says it is a piece of cake is not being wholly honest
3 even though it is not a piece of cake it is far more rewarding than any cake you might imagine.
4 once it comes out you cannot put it back in (that is a medical fact)
So here we are ... the bag is packed and there is petrol in the car.... and its four weeks ... more or less.

    Hehe!
No piece of cake at all but it is just what you want it to be! A small piece of cake or a big one...
All the best and have fun while waiting!!

Spider may not know it yet but s/he is lucky to have two such wonderful parents. Adapt and survive ;)
