Sarah-Kate was optimistic every time we met, in spite of an initial impression that things weren't quite as organised as they should be because of having to put together all the pieces from the UK.
One of the things I love about the speeches is the revealing of more layers of who the couple are, by those closest to them.
When we photograph people we try to reveal their beauty. Actually it is from their expressions of happiness that their greatest beauty comes. This is what impressed me most on photographing these people, who essentially until the week before the wedding, were strangers to me. Sarah-Kate and Steve were beautifully happy on their wedding day, and i was lucky enough to share in that. I call that 'Photographer's privilege'.
