Postcard one

In a way these were the postcards that I never wrote.

I made a promise to Rachel, a fabulous photographic friend. that I would photograph her wedding.

I was lucky enough to share this day with her and Andy.

The rain stopped so that we could photograph on the Beach at Cable Bay

Sometimes love takes a while to find.

Somehow the rain stopped when we needed it the most.

If I were to try to be profound it would quickly be seen as the semi-intoxicated ramblings that they would be.

... so I should definitely not be in charge of any profound words.

.... the dangers of a long lunch with friends.

But these things don't matter at all, because once you are Real you can't be ugly, except to people who don't understand."

You need to buy it for all the reasons that you would normally buy an album, ... you love the music, you've got $30 in your pocket, you want to be moved by sound, .... but more importantly you get that little bit closer to the Eastern Family.

I cannot say enough good things about this band. Most of all they deserve greatness.

But don't just listen to me ....  The Eastern by Johannes van Kan put it on High Quality viewing, and crank up the volume!

It was just out of the oven but almost cool enough to eat.

Its easy to forget that, wherever you are (almost),  you live in a community and how great it would be if  you made somebody near you a cake for no other reason that it was Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday.

The cake has long gone but we remember the gesture.  Thank you Anne
