It was a beautiful emotion-filled day celebrating the union of two amazing people.

Gary and Sarah got married and had the most fun ever.

In conjunction with the West Australian branch of the Australian Institute of Professional Photography we will be presenting a personal insight into our photography, our business, our development, our philosophy and our albums. We want to inspire, provoke and encourage other photographers to best themselves.

This is a unique opportunity for us to speak in tandem. We never do this. Its easy as photographers to become self centered so having the two of us creates a balance of 'selves'. We want this to be interactive and informative. Its two days on growing, surviving, nurturing, and why coffee is important.

We have nothing to sell but so much to give. We have won too many awards to worry about, we have shot in many amazing places, but when it comes down to the everyday truth of being a photographer for the people, we are singly most motivated by striving to give our best to the ones who gave us the trust to be their photographer.

This weekend was spent in Wellington photographing a wedding in Eastbourne and Pencarrow.

Wet weddings are seldom planned but we always love the challenge.

The hours for it are a bit inconvenient as we have weddings happening all over the place.

On Saturday I photographed a fabulous wedding with all the trimmings at Peregrine ...

Peregrine looked fantastic in spite of the rain

We spent a huge amount of time with this wedding. The flowers from the Flower Room were stunning.

The attention to detail was phenomenal.

Jacqui did an amazing job of coping with the sudden arrival of bad weather.

White Tie worked really hard keeping the guests watered and fed.

I have several answers 

To share my recent work in an immediate way.

To have a voice

To start a conversation

To get stuff out of my head ... 

Maybe I am proud of something.

Sometimes I want to show people how to do stuff.

But then what?

It goes up on a site ... the curious look, the stalkers look, the involved look, and sometimes the lost look (by accident), I think some of my family also look.

Thank you for looking.

But once it is 'up' ... what then?! .... the hope that maybe the brave also looked.  The brave that might write a comment.  A comment of opinion maybe. Are we doing the right things? What should I do more of? Less of? Do you disagree? or agree.

Maybe the comment is the beginning of a conversation.

But this is the problem ... nobody really wants to be first ... and then maybe wrong .... or outspoken ... well really the problem is being first  .... because who says what is wrong ... or right! 

I say make a comment ... start a conversation with me ... be excited about being the first.
